Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. rents small aluminum fishing boats (about 14ft long) with 9.9 hp Motors. These boats are rented with the gas/oil included in the price. These boats are only available for our guests and are rented on a -first come first serve- basis (so book in advance if you really want one). Please Note: Every effort will be made to ensure the boat is available for the time period it was rented, however if due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to provide the boat/motor then no payment will be collected for the boat, BUT no discounts, refunds or cancellations will be accepted for the cottage/room.

No boats are permitted to be out after Dusk.
Due to the number of people bringing their own boats Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. had to increase the docking space. For this reason, we now charge a docking fee of $7.00/day or $ 30.00/wk to help pay for the new docking and future docking requirements.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. will reserve one parking spot for each cottage and each room. Parking has been a problem in the past and we therefore request that guests limit the number of automobiles they bring. One additional parking spot may be provided out near Otter Lake Road for the guest that requires more than the 1 automobile. There is no guarantee for parking beyond the first automobile per Cottage / Room.
We want our guest to enjoy their time at Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. For this reason we must control the number of day guests (your visitors). There is a maximum of 4 day-guests per cottage and 2 day-guests per Suite. All day guests must be pre-authorized by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. prior to arrival. Also, these guests can not stay over night, as they are not registered for the cottage/room. (Two reasons for this: 1. In an emergency we must be aware of the number of people on the premises and 2. There are limits to the number of people that may legally stay in the cottages/rooms.) Day Guests are still subject to the Rules & Conditions and by inviting them you take responsibility for any damage/disturbance they cause.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. no longer allows firewood to be used in the fireplaces. (Only approved firelogs may be used, a list of approved firelogs maybe received at the frontdesk). Guests may purchase firelogs from Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. at a cost of $5.00 each. Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. does not permit guest to chop or cut trees or damage any other part of the woods on the property.
Every effort will be made to ensure that all the advertised facilities (kayaki, canoes, paddleboats, dock, games, equipment etc.) are available to be used by the guests, however if due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to provide these free services…no discounts, refunds or cancellations will be accepted or offered for the cottages/rooms. Please Note: Due to the new regulation and the incredible cost to implement regulation #428/05 the Hot Hub is no longer available (unless the Ministry of Health changes these regulation requirements--estimated cost of implementation - $25,000). We no longer have a Weight room.
With your reservation, we have held a cottage/room for you. Untimely cancellations due to weather conditions will not be accepted. We cannot and will not guarantee desirable weather conditions for your stay. Please see “Reservation, Confirmation and Registration” form for proper cancellation procedure and penalties.
