Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. have made these rules for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.
A reservation is made when the following conditions have been met. First, Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. has reviewed the bookings and determined the requested time and type of accommodation is available. Second, the customer/guest agrees to the conditions listed in this document. Third, the required deposit is received by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. Fourth, a valid credit card number is provided to Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. by the customer. Fifth, a conformation number is issued by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. to the customer.
A reservation may be made for a period of time not more than one year and six months in advance of the requested date. Reservations are taken on a “first come, first served” basis. No preference is given to previous customers of Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. nor to those with bookings in the current year.
A reservation is cancelled by the customer only after the customer informs Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. of the customer’s request to cancel. This request must be received by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. not less than 4 weeks before the arrival date. An administration fee of 25% of the deposit will be charged to the customer by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. If the cancellation is not received by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages 4 weeks in advance of the arrival date then the reservation is considered to be Non-Cancelable and the customer will pay the full amount of the reserved time to Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. There are no adjustments for late arrivals or early departures. In the event of a “No Shows” the customer will be charged the full amount of the reserved time.
The amount that will be taken as a deposit will be equal to 25% of the total cost (excluding taxes) of the reserved time.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. invites all customers/guests to come and view the accommodation that the customer has reserved prior to the 4 week cut-off point for cancellations. Please call to set up arrangements for a tour of Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. This guarantees that the type of accommodation reserved will suit your needs and meet all your expectations.
Adherence to regulations regarding suite/cottage capacity is mandatory. The front of this document states the number of people registered. Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. does not offer camping facilities or allow people to sleep in vehicles. Any non-registered people must leave the property by 12am. All non-registered people found on the property after this time are trespassing and will be charged. The registered guest that allows non-registered people into their suite/cottage after this time will be asked to leave, no refund will be issued.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. only offers “Housekeeping” Cottages and Suites to our guests. The “Housekeeping” type of Accommodation requires the guest to do their own housekeeping, cleaning and garbage removal during the period of their stay. The cottage/suite is required to be left in the same condition the customer/guest found it. A charge for cleaning may be charged if the cottage/suite is left in an unsatisfactory condition. The condition and any/all cleaning charges of the cottage/suite will be determined by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. management in its sole discretion and form part of the price of accommodation to be included in the account of the registered guest.
The Check-In time is any time after 2pm and before 9pm on the arrival date. The Check-Out time is any time before 10am on the departure date. There will be no exceptions to these times. Any guest arriving early will not be Checked-In early and will be asked to wait. Any guest staying beyond the Check-Out time will be charged a fee for the inconvenience they have caused the cleaning staff. The charge for late departure will be determined by Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. management in its sole discretion and form part of the price of accommodation to be included in the account of the registered guest.
Dogs and Cats are welcome at Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages provided the following rules are followed. 1. The Pet must be “People Friendly”, well mannered and behaved. 2. When the pet is not in the customer’s cottage or suite the pet must be on a leash. 3.The Customer must take sole responsibility for the pet and any/all damages, injuries the pet causes. 4. “Poop and Scoop” Policy is in affect. 5. The pet must never be left unattended / unsupervised by the customer. 6. Pets are not permitted on the beach/sand area at any time. 7. Pets must not cause a disturbance or disturb the other guests. 8. Pets are not permitted to be left outdoors at night. Failure to follow these rules will result in the termination of the contract and the registered guests must leave Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. No refunds will be issued. There will be no loud music, parties, yelling or other disturbances after 11pm. There will be no loud noise or disturbances before 8am.
There will be NO fireworks or other types of noise makers at Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. On special occasions and with advance approval, from Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc management, a small number of fireworks may be permitted.
Reservation or Registration for accommodation will be made by a customer not less than 18 years of age.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. welcomes children to its establishment. The following rules must be followed if children are in the party. No one under the age of 16 is to be left unsupervised in the room/cottage, on the beach, in the boats or anywhere else at Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. Children are not to make a disturbance or disturb the other guests. The quiet hours listed above apply to children as well. The registered guest will take responsibility for the supervision of the children in the party and will be responsible for any/all damages caused by them.
The customers/guest of Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. will read and follow any notices posted for their information. Specifically including but not limited to, the Washroom Notice and the Rules of Room/Cottage.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all safety equipment and requirements are met when in the water, in the boats, in the canoes or any other equipment at Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. If you are unsure of the safety requirements or equipment required please ask an agent of Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc for advise.
Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. will not permit illegal activity anywhere on the property. Maple Leaf Resort & Cottages Inc. management and staff will assist the police and courts in every possible way (including testifying) to convict anyone performing illegal acts or engaging in illegal activity.
